Better Homes & Gardens Do it Yourself Magazine Feature

What? Really?! I still don't think it has sink into my brain! I can't believe I was part of this amazing, beautiful spread on the latest issue of Do It Yourself magazine. After a long day at work, actually after a long week at work, I came home on Friday, open my mailbox - ready to just throw away a bunch of junk mail but, to my big surprise, the fall issue of DIY mag was there... awaiting for me.
Even after lots of communication with them, I still wasn't sure my cross stitch would actually be featured...yes it was one of those "will not believe it, until I see it" situations. I contained myself from flipping through the pages in the dark by my mailbox and instead walked inside my home, sat calmly on my well lit dinning table and went through every single page patiently until I found me!!! me?! my bunny? really!? amongst all these other amazing pieces of needlework....no way! Yes, it is my bunny! Wohoo!!! Well, all I remember after that is jumping nonstop for quite a while, laughing and cheering all by myself in the middle of my living room...oh and did I forget to mention freaking out the cats? They seemed a bit confused with my unexpected outburst of joy. I wish I had a picture of their faces and their "ready to run and hide" postures...you'd think they're use to my nonsense by now ;)
OK back to the magazine, if you don't subscribe already, I suggest you do! It's an awesome magazine with lots of inspiration and tons of fun DIY projects. Go get the fall issue ;)

Renegade Los Angeles - Part 2

Renegade Craft Fair Los Angeles is happening soon!!!

I will be participating for the first time in this year's Renegade Craft Fair in Los Angeles!!! As you can imagine I'm crazy busy trying to get ready for it. The best part is that I won't be doing it alone! I will be in great company sharing BOOTH #4 with my super awesome and talented friends Linda {Made by L'Moore} & Nicholle {Bows and Anchors} I can't wait!!!
It will be  happening July 16th & 17th from 11am-7pm at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. Check out Renegade's website for more info and a list of artists participating.

My First Craft Show..Don't Miss it!

I will be participating in The Pink Parlour Festival, this Sunday! Don't miss it! It's going to be awesome!!! It will be all day (11am-7pm) Sunday, March 27th at the historic Santa Anita race track.

Hitchcock

Being a huge Hitchcock fan, I have been wanting for add some patterns of him and his movies for some time now. I love this picture of him! I'm so glad I finally got to it. The pattern is now available on my etsy shop :)

It's Pee Wee!!!

Here is a new embroidery I made. I couldn't possibly count how many times I have watched pee wee's big adventure since it came out in 85 and it never gets old and always makes me laugh...what can I say? I love pee wee!!! :)

My embroidery made it on TV!!!

My embroidery was featured on TV!!! :) One of my awesome customers from Etsy, ordered the embroidery set (wall art & mobile plushies) posted on September as "Latest Hippo Friends" to use for a baby's nursery. Because the mom-to-be is a news anchor, they made a special baby feature about her nursery decorations. Check it out! They also listed my esty shop on their website: 10WTSP Tampa Bay's News Leader

Cats Eye Glasses Cross Stitched Case

This is a padded eyeglass case, I cross stitched a little while ago.It's been a bit hectic lately, I hope to have time soon to get more new projects going. I can't believe it's already August! Is this year flying by or is it just me?!

Sweet Hippo Embroidery

Yes! It's finally in my shop! The hippo is finished! :)

So I have to admit that I have been a little distracted from my crafts and my shop lately. Not sure why the lack of motivation, but after a couple of weekends lost without any creativity, I forced myself to do something this past Sunday and I'm back!!!

Going through my stuff, I realized I had so many projects "almost done"- just waiting to be framed. I finished them, photograph them and seeing the end product plus all the fabrics I have sitting there waiting to be made into something got me SUPER motivated again. So I will be doing as much as I can this week. The only bummer is that I only have a few hours at night, but this weekend I will be catching up again. :)
